Researchers have found that wadu removes bacteria concentrations from the exposed parts of the body and maintains skin elasticity. We could realize, therefore, the reason why Allah, the Glorious, commands us to do wadu for Allah wants us to remain healthy and wants to protect us from various diseases. Every wadu is enough to remove millions of germs and viruses from the hands, mouth, face, nose, and feet. Hence, Allah, the Exalted says:

“In it are men who

Love to be purified; and God

Loveth those who make themselves pure.”          Tauba (Repentance): 108
