Scientists proved that spying has many psychological cons such as anxiety, fear, and negative thinking. The habit of saying bad things about people that they hate also causes social problems as well as psychological problems such as depression. Islam prohibited all such bad habits in the following great verse:

“O ye who believe! Avoid suspicion as much (as possible): for suspicion in some cases is a sin: And spy not on each other behind their backs. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Nay, ye would abhor it... But fear Allah: For Allah is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.”  Hujjurat: 49: 12

Islam prohibits such bad habits to guarantee us happiness and preserve our lives. All praise to Allah, the almighty for the grace of Islam.
