Astronomers have found that “gravity,” which wasn’t discovered until the 20th century, organizes the movement of the universe, ensures its survival, and prevents its collapse. The holy Qur’an, however, has revealed this secret fourteen centuries ago; Allah says:

“And among His Signs is this,

That heaven and earth

Stand by His Command:

Then when He calls you,

By a single call, from the earth,

Behold, ye (straightway) come forth.”

The Qur’anic inimitability becomes evident in the following verse:

“That heaven and earth

Stand by His Command”          

Rum or The Roman Empire: 25

This verse reveals that the forces of gravity are among Allah's creatures that follow His commands. The sky, earth, and all the contents of the universe could never stand, continue to exist, and be cohesive except through such gravity forces and these forces are but commands from Allah, the Great.
